Frequenty Asked Questions

  • What is a Dry Hire?

A Dry Hire Service is where you supply your own beverages (beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails, etc.) and we provide the trailer, the taps and the TABC-certified bartenders to serve your guest. We can help the clients create a cost-effective inventory list, but we cannot purchase the alcohol or drinks for the event. A dry hire is more cost effective than doing a full-service bar.

  • What Can We Serve?

We can serve anything from alcoholic beverages like beer, wine, cocktails, margaritas, seltzers, prosecco, and non-alcoholic beverages like cold brews, mocktails, lemonade, kombucha, and soda. We have a total of four taps so you and your guest can have a variety of drink options to choose from.

  • How Far Do We Travel?

Golden Veil Taps is located in Lubbock, Texas. We are proud to serve our community and the surrounding areas. Our radius is 45 miles and anywhere further we do charge a $1.25/ per extra mile outside of that radius.

  • Are We Insured?

Golden Veil Taps is fully insured with general liability insurance and liquor liability insurance. If your venue requires proof of insurance, please let us know in advance and we will happily provide any necessary documentation needed.

  • Do We Have a Liquor License?

The State of Texas does not allow a liquor license without a brick & mortar location, which means unfortunately, we cannot provide, sell, or deliver alcohol. We can provide support and help you create a personalized drink menu and estimate how much beer, wine and alcohol you may need for your event. Without a liquor license, we can’t provide a Cash Bar as we are unable to collect money in exchange for alcoholic beverages. However, feel free to tip our bartenders for their hard work.

  • How Early Do I Need To Book?

Honestly the sooner you book, the better. Even if your event is coming up soon, please reach out because we may have availability.

  • What Kind of Events Do We Tailor To?

We are happy to serve at Weddings, Birthdays, Graduations, Corporate Events, Showers, Holiday Parties, Grand Openings, Family Reunions, or any other special event you can think of.

  • What Do I Need To Know About The Tap Trailer?

Our tear drop shaped tap trailer is 12ft long and a little over 6ft tall. It just needs a flat surface like a driveway, patio, parking lot, or a nice grassy spot. If allowed, we can even pull the tap trailer indoors. Check with your venue or event center to confirm if that’s allowed. There are no hookups, no generators, no noise. Our system is fully self-sufficient and doesn’t require power to keep the ice-cold drinks flowing. We just roll up, set up and serve. This makes our tap trailer an ideal choice for any outdoor or off grid event you have planned.

  • What Is The Payment Policy?

We do require a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit of 50% to book your reservation. The remaining balance is due 1 week before your event.
